Psalm 119:41-48

Good morning and happy Monday to you all!  Hope you are having a great long weekend!

Scripture: Psalm 119:41-48

Waw

May your unfailing love come to me, Lord,  your salvation, according to your promise;

Then I can answer anyone who taunts me, for I trust in your word

Never take your word of truth from my mouth, for I have put my hope in your laws.

I will always obey your law, for ever and ever.

I will walk about in freedom, for I have sought out your precepts

I will speak of your statues before kings and will not be put to shame,

For I delight in your commands because I love them.

I reach out for your commands, which I love, that I may meditate on your decrees.

Observation:

Feels like a real change in tone in this section. A lot of confidence for God’s word. Really expressing his trust in God. “I will walk about in freedom”  I love that image and the feeling I get when I think about it. Feels like an incredible longing to be in the word, and I can’t help but notice the word meditate again.

Application:

Not sure if I have a particular application, other than I will try to intentionally remember how I can walk around in freedom because of knowing and obeying the word of God. I have been way more intentional with meditating on the Word in this past week, and have found a lot more focus and understanding. Still learning.

Prayer:

Thank you Lord for the freedom found in obeying your word. Thank you that I can trust your word completely and I confidently share your truths without fear of being wrong. Lord help me to be bold when I share, help me to have incredible confidence in speech. Lord help me to find delight in your word every single day. Thank you, in the name of Jesus, amen.
