Scripture: Psalm 119:89-96
Lamedh
Your word, O Lord, is eternal; it stands firm in the heavens.
Your faithfulness continues through all generations; you established the earth, and it endures.
Your laws endure to this day, for all things serve you.
If your law had not been my delight, I would have perished in my affliction.
I will never forget your precepts, for by them you have preserved my life.
Save me, for I am yours; I have sought out your precepts.
The wicked are waiting to destroy me, but I will ponder your statutes.
To all perfection I see a limit; but your commands are boundless.
Observation:
Thankfulness. Thankfulness and awe. 4th verse stands out to me today. Where would I be right now, what would I be doing right now if not for God coming into my life. The word of God is my delight, even though I am have not always been the most faithful with studying it. I would’ve been perishing. I would’ve been lost. Running in all directions with not particular destination in mind. So futile.
Application:
It is so simple. Today, I will give thanks to God for what He has done for me.
Prayer:
Thank you God for what you did 18 years ago. You broke through this hard heart. You answered prayers of many of your children. Thank you for the faithful prayers of all those people. Thank you today that Your word and Your law is my delight, my guide, my encouragement and my strength. Your word is eternal, and perfect, and it stands strong even when it feels so many are against it. Thank you Jesus for what you endured on the cross for me. Amen
